Mysuru, June 5: World Environment Day was celebrated herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Srinagar under the theme ‘End Plastic Pollution’. The importance of the day was explained in the program. Students performed a monoact on the impact of plastic. Students performed a song and dance on nature. The Principal inaugurated the Environment Club by releasing the logo of the Environment Club. A Green Day was organized for the students of Gokulam, Class 1 and 2. The Principal informed the students about the harmful effects of plastic on the environment. Seed pellets were distributed by the students at the foothills of Chamundi Hills.
ಮೈಸೂರು, ಜೂ. 5: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಶ್ರೀನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ʼಪ್ಲಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್‌ ಮಾಲಿನ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅಂತ್ಯ ಹಾಡುವುದುʼ ಎನ್ನುವ ಧ್ಯೇಯವಾಕ್ಯದಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವ ಪರಿಸರ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ದಿನದ ಮಹತ್ತ್ವವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಪ್ಲಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್‌ ಪ್ರಭಾವದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಏಕಪಾತ್ರಾಭಿನಯವನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯ ಹಾಡು ಮತ್ತು ನೃತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ರಧಾನಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ಪರಿಸರ ಕ್ಲಬ್‌ ಲೋಗೋವನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಪರಿಸರ ಕ್ಲಬ್‌ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಗೋಕುಲಂ, 1 ಮತ್ತು 2ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಹಸಿರುದಿನವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಪ್ರಧಾನಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ಪರಿಸರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ಲಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್‌ ಹಾನಿಕಾರಕ ಪರಿಣಾಮವನ್ನು ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಚಾಮುಂಡಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ತಪ್ಪಲಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಂದ ಬೀಜದ ಉಂಡೆಗಳ ಪ್ರಸರಣ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು.
