Mysuru, June 5: A paper bag-making activity was conducted for class 6 students at Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Srinagar to promote environmental awareness and reduce plastic usage on World Environment Day. The students made eco-friendly paper bags using recycled materials and followed the 3Rs – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. The paper bags prepared by the students were donated to a local provision store to promote the use of sustainable alternatives to plastic bags.
ಮೈಸೂರು, ಜೂ. 5: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಶ್ರೀನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವ ಪರಿಸರ ದಿನದಂದು ಪರಿಸರ ಜಾಗೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ಲಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ಬಳಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡಲು 6 ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪೇಪರ್ ಬ್ಯಾಗ್ ತಯಾರಿಕೆ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮರುಬಳಕೆಯ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿ ಪರಿಸರ ಸ್ನೇಹಿ ಪೇಪರ್ ಬ್ಯಾಗ್ಗಳನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು 3R – ‘ರೆಡ್ಯೂಸ್ (ಕಡಿಮೆ ಬಳಸಿ), ರೀಯೂಸ್ (ಮರುಬಳಕೆ) ಮಾಡಿ ಮತ್ತು ರೀಸೈಕಲ್(ಪುನರ್ಬಳಕೆ) ಮಾಡಿ’ ಎಂಬ ಸೂತ್ರವನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ಲಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ಬ್ಯಾಗ್ಗಳಿಗೆ ಸುಸ್ಥಿರ ಪರ್ಯಾಯಗಳ ಬಳಕೆಯನ್ನು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸಲು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿದ ಪೇಪರ್ ಬ್ಯಾಗ್ಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಕಿರಾಣಿ ಅಂಗಡಿಗೆ ದಾನ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು.
