Mysuru, Aug. 12: The 107th birth anniversary of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, the founder of India’s space programme, was celebrated at Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Srinagar. Smt. Likhita highlighted Dr. Sarabhai’s vision of using space technology for national development and social needs. She spoke about the establishment of INCOSPAR in 1962, the Thumba Equatorial Rocket Launch Centre and the formation of ISRO in 1969.
ಮೈಸೂರು, ಆ. 12: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಶ್ರೀನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತದ ಬಾಹ್ಯಾಕಾಶ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಡಾ. ವಿಕ್ರಮ್ ಸಾರಾಭಾಯಿ ಅವರ 107ನೇ ಜನ್ಮ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಲಿಖಿತ ಡಾ. ಸಾರಾಭಾಯಿ ಅವರ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಅಗತ್ಯಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಬಾಹ್ಯಾಕಾಶ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಬಳಸುವ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು. 1962 ರಲ್ಲಿ INCOSPAR ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ, ಥುಂಬಾ ಸಮಭಾಜಕ ರಾಕೆಟ್ ಉಡಾವಣಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಮತ್ತು 1969 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರೋ ರಚನೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
