Mysuru, Aug 29: The National Sports Day, which is celebrated as part of the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand, was celebrated herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Srinagar. Major Dhyan Chand’s portrait was lit and garlanded. Sri Vasanth, Educational Coordinator (Bangalore, Hassan, Somanahalli) discussed the benefits of sports with the children and talked about the magic of Dhyan Chand. The children spoke about Dhyan Chand’s achievements and the importance of sports.
ಮೈಸೂರು, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 29: ಹಾಕಿ ಮಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಮೇಜರ್ ಧ್ಯಾನಚಂದ್ ಜನ್ಮದಿನದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸುವ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ದಿವಸವನ್ನು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಶ್ರೀನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಮೇಜರ್ ಧ್ಯಾನಚಂದ್ ಅವರ ಭಾವಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದೀಪ ಬೆಳಗಿಸಿ ಪುಷ್ಪಾರ್ಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ (ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಹಾಸನ, ಸೋಮನಹಳ್ಳಿ) ಶ್ರೀ ವಸಂತ್ ಅವರು ಕ್ರೀಡೆಯಿಂದ ದೊರಕುವ ಲಾಭಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳೊಡನೆ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಧ್ಯಾನಚಂದ್ ಅವರ ಮಾಂತ್ರಿಕತೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಧ್ಯಾನಚಂದ್ ಅವರ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ರೀಡೆಗಳ ಮಹತ್ತ್ವದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
