Mysuru, Mar. 13: Holi festival was celebrated herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Srinagar.
The school’s art and craft teacher, Sri Vikas, informed the students about the special features of Holi festival and said, “Holi festival is called the festival of colours, and although the children are made aware of the special features of each colour, the festival of this colourful Okuli emphasizes friendship, brotherhood and equality. In addition, by telling the children a short Hindu mythological and traditional story of Prahlada and Holika, this festival symbolizes the victory of religion and truth. The ritual of burning Holika is also important in this, which indicates the victory of good over evil.”

ಹೋಳಿ ಹಬ್ಬದ ವಿಶೇಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಶಾಲೆಯ ಕಲಾ ಮತ್ತು ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಕಾಸ್ ಅವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತಾ “ಹೋಳಿ ಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು ಬಣ್ಣಗಳ ಹಬ್ಬ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ, ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರತಿ ಒಂದು ಬಣ್ಣದ ವಿಶೇಷತೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸಿದರೂ, ಈ ಬಣ್ಣದ ಓಕುಳಿಯ ಹಬ್ಬದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನೇಹ, ಸಹೋದರತ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾನತೆಗೆ ಒತ್ತು ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎನ್ನುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಸಣ್ಣ ಹಿಂದೂ ಪುರಾಣ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯದ ಪ್ರಹ್ಲಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಹೋಲಿಕಾ ಕಥೆ ಹೇಳುವುದರ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಈ ಹಬ್ಬವು ಧರ್ಮ ಮತ್ತು ಸತ್ಯದ ವಿಜಯವನ್ನು ಸಂಕೇತಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಲಿಕಾ ದಹನವೆಂಬ ಆಚರಣೆಯೂ ಪ್ರಮುಖವಾಗಿದೆ, ಅದು ಕೆಟ್ಟತನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯತನದ ಗೆಲುವನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ” ಎನ್ನುವ ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
