Mysuru, Jan. 25: A successful sky watching and stargazing programme was conducted for the students of classes 6 and 7 herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Srinagar. Sri Krishnamurthy, an accomplished amateur astronomer, arrived as the resource person for the programme and shared his expertise and guided the students. The programme started with an introduction to the night sky using the Stellarium app which provided the students with a realistic understanding of stars, planets and constellations. Following this, the students participated in a naked eye observation session. With the help of high-powered laser light, Mr. Krishnamurthy explained the identification of important stars, planets and constellations, The highlight of the programme was a telescope viewing session held at the Rotary Midtown Academy, Mysore, which is one of the best telescopes in the city. The students got the opportunity to observe the planets Venus, Jupiter, Saturn and Mars. They got a chance to see the rings of Saturn and the moons of Jupiter.
ಮೈಸೂರು, ಜ. 25: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಶ್ರೀನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ 6 ಮತ್ತು 7 ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಯಶಸ್ವಿ ಆಕಾಶ ವೀಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಕ್ಷತ್ರ ವೀಕ್ಷಣೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಕೃಷ್ಣಮೂರ್ತಿ, ನಿಪುಣ ಹವ್ಯಾಸಿ ಖಗೋಳಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಜ್ಞರು ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪರಿಣತಿಯನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು ಮತ್ತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿದರು. ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳು, ಗ್ರಹಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಪುಂಜಗಳ ವಾಸ್ತವ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಒದಗಿಸಿದ ಸ್ಟೆಲೇರಿಯಮ್ ಅಪ್ಲಿಕೇಶನ್ ಅನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡು ರಾತ್ರಿ ಆಕಾಶದ ಪರಿಚಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ಇದರ ನಂತರ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಬರಿಗಣ್ಣಿನಿಂದ ವೀಕ್ಷಣೆ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರು. ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯ ಲೇಸರ್ ಬೆಳಕಿನ ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದ, ಶ್ರೀ ಕೃಷ್ಣಮೂರ್ತಿ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳು, ಗ್ರಹಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಪುಂಜಗಳ ಗುರುತಿಸುವಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು, ನಗರದ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ದೂರದರ್ಶಕಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾಗಿರುವ ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ರೋಟರಿ ಮಿಡ್‌ಟೌನ್ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ದೂರದರ್ಶಕ ವೀಕ್ಷಣಾ ಅಧಿವೇಶನವು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಅಂಶವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಶುಕ್ರ, ಗುರು, ಶನಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮಂಗಳ ಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಅವಕಾಶ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತು. ಶನಿಯ ಉಂಗುರಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಗುರು ಗ್ರಹದ ಚಂದ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡುವ ಅವಕಾಶ ಒದಗಿತು.
