The birth anniversary Celebration of Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar in RVK – Srinagar
Mysuru, Mar. 18: The birth anniversary of Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, founder of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), was celebrated at Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Srinagar. Students dressed up as Dr Hedgewar and delivered a speech highlighting the importance of values like patriotism, selfless service and character building.
Yugadi festival Celebration in RVK – Srinagar
Mysuru, Mar. 18: Yugadi festival was celebrated in Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Srinagar. The school premises were decorated with flowers and garlands.The students were informed about the importance of the Yugadi festival. The meaning of the word “Yugadi” was explained, stating that “Yuga” means time or year and “Adi” means beginning, and Yugadi was explained as a festival that marks the beginning of a new year. Students sang songs about Yugadi.
Srajanotsava at RVK – Srinagar
Mysuru, Mar. 9: Srajanotsava was celebrated in Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Srinagar. Dr Bettadaya B K was the chief guest. His encouraging words inspired the students to continue exploring their interests and talents. Students from various classes displayed models and projects on Science, Social Science, Mathematics, Languages, Sports, Yoga, Arts and Crafts, and each student confidently explained their models.
Science Week Inauguration in RVK – Srinagar
Mysuru, Mar. 5: Science Week was celebrated in Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Srinagar. The programme was inaugurated by Chethan and his team from STEM Avishkar, Principal Smt. Anitha and Head of Co-Scholarship Department of RVK – Arkavati Smt. Smitha. During the session, Chethan and his team introduced the students to various robots and their components, demonstrated how robots work and explained the basics of robotics.
Science Week – Day 2 in RVK – Srinagar
Mysuru, Mar. 6: The second day of Science Week at Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Srinagar was marked with a session on the topic of “Eclipses” by Sri S.N. Prasad, who explained what eclipses are and discussed various types of eclipses, including solar and lunar eclipses.
Vibrant Colour Festival at RVK – Srinagar
Mysuru, Mar. 4: Holi festival was celebrated in Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Srinagar. Smt. Srilakshmi explained the importance of Holi and emphasised the victory of good over evil and the values of unity and harmony. Smt. Suryaprabha sang a Holi song. The Pradhanacharya addressed the gathering, gave necessary instructions for the celebration and ceremoniously offered Holi colours to all the teachers as a symbol of goodwill and blessings. In the afternoon session, the Pradhanacharya ceremoniously performed the Kama Dahan.

Mysuru, Feb. 13: The birth anniversary of Madhavrao Sadashiv Golwalkar and Smt. Sarojini Naidu was celebrated at Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Srinagar. The students gave a speech highlighting Sarojini Naidu’s contribution to India’s freedom struggle. They spoke about how Sarojini Naidu was popularly known as the “Nightingale of India” for her beautiful poetry and inspiring speeches.
