Mysore, Aug. 29: National Sports Day, which is celebrated on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Hockey Wizard Major Dhyan Chand, was celebrated herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Srinagar. Ku. Charit of Class 6 gave an insightful speech on the life and achievements of Major Dhyan Chand, highlighting his discipline, dedication and what earned him the title of “Hockey Wizard”. Yoga teacher Smt. Maithravathi shared insights on the life and sportsmanship of Major Dhyan Chand, motivating the students to develop determination, focus and teamwork.
ಮೈಸೂರು, ಆ. 29: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಶ್ರೀನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿ ಮಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಮೇಜರ್ ಧ್ಯಾನಚಂದ್‌ ಅವರ ಜನ್ಮ ದಿನದ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುವ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. 6ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ಚರಿತ್ ಮೇಜರ್ ಧ್ಯಾನ್ ಚಂದ್ ಅವರ ಜೀವನ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಧನೆಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಒಳನೋಟವುಳ್ಳ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಿ, ಅವರ ಶಿಸ್ತು, ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರಿಗೆ “ಹಾಕಿ ಮಾಂತ್ರಿಕ” ಎಂಬ ಬಿರುದು ಬಂದಿರುವುದರ ಬಗೆಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು. ಯೋಗ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಮೈತ್ರಾವತಿ ಅವರು ಮೇಜರ್ ಧ್ಯಾನ್ ಚಂದ್ ಅವರ ಜೀವನ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಮನೋಭಾವದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿಚಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ದೃಢನಿಶ್ಚಯ, ಗಮನ ಮತ್ತು ತಂಡದ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದರು.
