Mysuru, Mar. 18: Yugadi festival was celebrated in Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Srinagar. The school premises were decorated with flowers and garlands.The students were informed about the importance of the Yugadi festival. The meaning of the word “Yugadi” was explained, stating that “Yuga” means time or year and “Adi” means beginning, and Yugadi was explained as a festival that marks the beginning of a new year. Students sang songs about Yugadi. The students were informed about the traditions of the Yugadi festival, and neem jaggery was distributed as a symbol indicating that there is both happiness and sorrow in life. Panchanga Shravan was held. The special features of the Parabhava Nama Samvatsara and the predictions were briefly explained.
ಮೈಸೂರು, ಮಾ. 18: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಶ್ರೀನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಯುಗಾದಿ ಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಶಾಲೆಯ ಆವರಣವನ್ನು ಹೂವುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ತೋರಣಗಳಿಂದ ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಯುಗಾದಿ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. “ಯುಗಾದಿ” ಎಂಬ ಪದದ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿ, “ಯುಗ” ಎಂದರೆ ಕಾಲ ಅಥವಾ ವರ್ಷ ಮತ್ತು “ಆದಿ” ಎಂದರೆ ಆರಂಭ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿ, ಯುಗಾದಿ ಹೊಸ ವರ್ಷದ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುವ ಹಬ್ಬವೆಂದು ವಿವರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಯುಗಾದಿಯ ಕುರಿತು ಹಾಡುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಡಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಯುಗಾದಿ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿ, ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷ ಮತ್ತು ದುಃಖ ಎರಡೂ ಇರುವುದನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುವ ಸಂಕೇತವಾಗಿ ಬೇವು–ಬೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಹಂಚಲಾಯಿತು. ಪಂಚಾಂಗ ಶ್ರವಣ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಪರಾಭವ ನಾಮ ಸಂವತ್ಸರದ ವಿಶೇಷತೆಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವಾಣಿ ಕುರಿತು ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತವಾಗಿ ವಿವರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
