Mysuru, Jan. 11: “Rashtrotsava – Kratajnata Samarpanam” was organized herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Srinagar. The keynote address was delivered by Sri Dinesh Hegde. He explained the objectives and various schemes of the Rashtrotthana Parishat. He explained the service of the Parishat in the fields of education, social service and culture and the important role played by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in shaping the identity of the nation. Dr. Sitaram, Orthopaedic Surgeon, who arrived as the chief guest, delivered an interactive speech. He explained the meaning of the word ‘Orthopaedic’ and said that ‘Ortho’ means straight/correct and ‘Pedic’ means children. Comparing the role of doctors with the role of teachers and parents, he said that teachers and parents play an important role in guiding the lives of children on the right path. He said that education should not be limited to marks and intellectual ability alone, and stressed the importance of Emotional Intelligence (EQ), Social Intelligence (SQ) and Spiritual Quotient. The cultural programme was presented by students from Pre-KG to Class 8. Each class presented a theme that reflected the spirit of the National Day.
ಮೈಸೂರು, ಜ. 11: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಶ್ರೀನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ “ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಸವ – ಕೃತಜ್ಞತಾ ಸಮರ್ಪಣಂ” ಅನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಮುಖ್ಯ ಭಾಷಣವನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ ದಿನೇಶ್ ಹೆಗಡೆ ಅವರು ನೀಡಿದರು. ಅವರು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನ ಉದ್ದೇಶಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ವಿವಿಧ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಸೇವೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿ, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕ ಸಂಘ (ಆರ್ಎಸ್ಎಸ್)ವು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ಗುರುತನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ವಹಿಸಿದ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಪಾತ್ರವನ್ನು ಅವರು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದ ಡಾ. ಸೀತಾರಾಂ, ಅಸ್ಥಿ ತಜ್ಞ ವೈದ್ಯರು (ಆರ್ಥೋಪಿಡಿಕ್ ಸರ್ಜನ್), ಸಂವಾದಾತ್ಮಕ ಭಾಷಣವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ಅವರು ‘ಆರ್ಥೋಪಿಡಿಕ್’ ಎಂಬ ಪದದ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿ, ‘ಆರ್ಥೋ’ ಎಂದರೆ ನೇರ/ಸರಿಯಾದುದು ಮತ್ತು ‘ಪೆಡಿಕ್’ ಎಂದರೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ವೈದ್ಯರ ಪಾತ್ರವನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಪಾಲಕರ ಪಾತ್ರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಸಿ, ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ಸರಿಯಾದ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಪಾಲಕರು ಮಹತ್ವದ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದರು. ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವು ಕೇವಲ ಅಂಕಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಬೌದ್ಧಿಕ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸೀಮಿತವಾಗಬಾರದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ, ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕ ಬುದ್ಧಿಮತ್ತೆ (EQ), ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಬುದ್ಧಿಮತ್ತೆ (SQ) ಹಾಗೂ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಬುದ್ಧಿಗಳ (Spiritual Quotient) ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿಹೇಳಿದರು. ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀ-ಕೆಜಿ ರಿಂದ 8ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯವರೆಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ತರಗತಿಯೂ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಸವದ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುವ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿತು.
