Mysuru, Septt. 15: Sir M. Vishweshwarayya Jayanti, also known as Engineers’ Day, was celebrated herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Srinagar.
Sri Charan addressed the gathering and shared insights into his extraordinary life of Sir M.V. He explained how they turned problems into opportunities through their innovations – especially the invention of automatic flood gates in 1903 and the introduction of irrigation and drinking water systems for Mysuru and beyond. He spoke in detail about the construction of the historic Krishna Raja Sagar (KRS) dam.
During his tenure as Diwan of Mysuru (1912–1918), the state witnessed rapid progress in industries, banks, irrigation projects and educational institutions. His qualities of hard work, honesty, discipline, vision and leadership were emphasized as lessons to the students and teachers.
The program ended with a call to adopt the values of dedication, integrity and service to their nation.
ಮೈಸೂರು, ಸೆ. 15: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಶ್ರೀನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ಗಳ ದಿನವೆಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವ ಸರ್ ಎಂ. ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ್ವರಯ್ಯ ಜಯಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಶ್ರೀ ಚರಣ್ ಅವರು ಸಭೆಯನ್ನುದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಸರ್ ಎಂ.ವಿ. ಅವರ ಅಸಾಧಾರಣ ಜೀವನದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಒಳನೋಟಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಸರ್ ಎಂ.ವಿ. ತಮ್ಮ ನಾವೀನ್ಯತೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅವಕಾಶಗಳಾಗಿ ಹೇಗೆ ಪರಿವರ್ತಿಸಿದರು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಅವರು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು – ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ 1903 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಯಂಚಾಲಿತ ಪ್ರವಾಹ ದ್ವಾರಗಳ ಆವಿಷ್ಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಮೈಸೂರು ಮತ್ತು ಅದರಾಚೆಗೆ ನೀರಾವರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರಿನ ಪೂರೈಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಾಂತಿಯನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡಿದ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ರಾಜ ಸಾಗರ (ಕೆಆರ್ಎಸ್) ಅಣೆಕಟ್ಟಿನ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದ ಕುರಿತು ವಿವರವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ದಿವಾನರಾಗಿದ್ದ (1912–1918) ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಕೈಗಾರಿಕೆಗಳು, ಬ್ಯಾಂಕುಗಳು, ನೀರಾವರಿ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತ್ವರಿತ ಪ್ರಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡಿತು. ಅವರ ಕಠಿಣ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮ, ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕತೆ, ಶಿಸ್ತು, ದೂರದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಮತ್ತು ನಾಯಕತ್ವದ ಗುಣಗಳನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಗೆ ಪಾಠಗಳಾಗಿ ಒತ್ತಿಹೇಳಲಾಯಿತು.
ಸರ್ ಎಂ.ವಿ. ಅವರ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆ, ಸಮಗ್ರತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸೇವೆಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಕರೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಮುಕ್ತಾಯವಾಯಿತು.
